Cleveland-based University Hospitals' planned community care center and other nearby development could bring hundreds of new jobs to the city's Health-Tech Corridor, according to a Fresh Water report.
The planned UH facility, called the UH Rainbow Center for Women & Children, will create an integrated primary care facility and diagnostic center. It will house more than 40 full-time employees with projected job growth of about 10 percent over three years.
Hospital officials predict the facility will see 47,000 visits each year.
In addition to the community care center, Geis Companies' Hemingway Development plans to develop a second Midtown Tech Park with mixed-use medical companies, retail, restaurants and other commercial space, according to the report. Geis could add more than 400 jobs, although the exact number has not been determined.
