St. Anthony Hospital to lay off 3 employees as part of CHI cuts

Three employees at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Ore., will be laid off as part of Englewood, Colo.–based Catholic Health Initiatives' plan to cut 1,500 positions by the end of January, according to an East Oregonian report.

CHI is the parent company of St. Anthony Hospital, and the job cuts represent 1.7 percent of the 105-hospital system's workforce.

Larry Blanc, communications director for St. Anthony Hospital, told the East Oregonian that the affected workers at St. Anthony Hospital were non-clinical employees. He also noted that the employees are set to receive severance packages and help in finding new jobs. Two of the employees have already secured new positions.
