Sarasota County Public Hospital Board fills vacancy

The Sarasota County (Fla.) Public Hospital Board, which oversees the Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Health Care System, has appointed William Noonan to fill a vacancy until the election in November, according to SRQ.

Mr. Noonan will serve in the board's Central District Seat 1 in place of Alex Miller, who has stepped down to run for election to the state's House of Representatives, according to the report.

Mr. Noonan, who had a 30-plus-year career with IBM before joining enterprise software company Novell in 2004, served on the hospital board's finance committee prior to this appointment. He is experienced in business and financial management, human resources, executive management, process design, implementation and improvement, and sales and marketing, according to the board's website.

He is an alumnus of Villanova (Penn.) University with a degree in electrical engineering.
