Obama's 3 pieces of leadership advice for his daughters

Former President Barack Obama spoke at an event for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Wednesday and shared the essential leadership advice he's given his daughters Sasha and Malia, according to CNBC.

Listed below are the three most important pieces of advice for becoming a successful leader that Mr. Obama has learned from his years as a community organizer, senator and president to help be a successful leader.

1. "Being responsible is an enormous privilege."

2. "There are a lot of different ways to make a contribution."

3. "You have to be persistent."
