Nacogdoches Memorial Health announces new executive leadership

The Nacogdoches County Hospital District Board of Directors announces new executive hospital leadership, as Interim Chief Executive Officer Gary Kendrick came on board January 10, 2017.

"We welcome Gary, who has depth of healthcare knowledge and experience serving smaller, community hospitals, and is a familiar face at Nacogdoches Memorial," said Lisa King, Board Chairperson.

Kendrick comes to Nacogdoches Memorial Health through the hospital's support services contract with Community Hospital Consulting (CHC Consulting), a division of Community Hospital Corporation of Plano, Texas.

Kendrick formerly served as Interim CEO at Nacogdoches Memorial Health prior to the Board's appointment of Scott Street. Mr. Street recently resigned as CEO after serving since mid-2014.

"Our focus is steadfast – as it has been for nearly 90 years – to serve our community and ensure that quality of care remains the priority for our residents," added King.

Kendrick has been a hospital administrator since 1980. Most recently, he served as Interim CEO at Morehouse General Hospital, Bastrop, La., through CHC Consulting, who specializes in the management and operation of rural and community-based hospitals.
