He is an accomplished senior healthcare executive with a record of supporting growth and driving profitability for both startup and mature healthcare organizations.
Laughman has served as President of Mayo Collaborative Services and Mayo Medical Laboratories, President of AmeriPath Reference Services and Specialty Reference Laboratory, as well as President and CEO of Med Fusion Clinical Lab. In addition, he has provided consulting services as the Managing Partner at CareTinuum Consulting Partners, a boutique consulting firm that advised health system clients as they prepared for the shift from a fee-for-service fragmented patient care model to an integrated patient centric, value-based care model leveraging the importance of lab data.
Laughman succeeds CEO and Co-founder Dhiren Bhatia, who led the company through its first phase of growth and will continue as Chief Strategy Officer focusing on strategic direction, product and business development and partnerships. Under his leadership the company landed major contracts with health systems such as the Mayo Clinic; Academic Medical Centers including University Hospitals Case Western Reserve Medical Center; Pediatric Hospitals such as Children's National Medical Center, along with reference laboratories such as Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories (PAML) and DynaLIFE.
