Former cancer center hospital building might be home to brain, spine hospital

Ohio State University's former Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital building in Columbus could be the future home of a three-story brain and spine hospital, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

The project, which would have a total budget of $14.3 million, would include the following specialty-care units: cognitive/dementia; trauma of the brain and spinal cord; spine; stroke; neuro-restoration; and acute neuro-rehabilitation, according to the report.

The hospital would also feature private rooms for patients when it opens next year.

The proposal still has to go before OhioStateUniversity trustees. The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital relocated last month.
