Creighton University creates MBA for clinicians in leadership roles

Leo Vartorella -

Omaha, Neb.-based Creighton University will launch an MBA program this fall catered specifically to clinicians in leadership roles, according to the Omaha World-Herald.

The 18-month program aims to equip healthcare professionals with business and leadership knowledge to better manage their organizations or advance into higher-level leadership positions.

"We see a profoundly compelling need in the marketplace to equip physicians and healthcare leaders to rise to the increasing challenges of the industry," said Laurie Baedke, MHA, director of healthcare leadership programs at Creighton's Heider College of Business. "We have a platform to build and deliver a robust and engaging educational experience to meet these challenges."

Classes will be available both on campus and online and will employ multiple educational approaches, ranging from lectures to hands-on projects.
