Community Hospital Consulting, the consulting division of Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Corporation, has announced a new strategic support relationship with Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, Ga.
Under the agreement, which was signed by the WMH board March 25, CHC will help implement improvements identified in an action plan for the hospital. The plan came out of an operational assessment by CHC.
"We have been working with Wills Memorial Hospital since the end of 2014 when the WMH Authority issued an RFP for a strategic partner to help strengthen and better position the hospital for the future," CHC Executive Vice President Cindy Matthews said in a statement. "Our CHC team has been impressed with the leadership and board's commitment to do everything possible to enhance the hospital. CHC experts are hitting the ground running and collaborating day-to-day across teams. This is a dynamic time and we're getting started."
Also on March 25, the WMH board approved a letter of interest for CHC to lease the hospital. A 120-day due diligence process has begun to determine if a lease arrangement is best for all parties, according to a news release.
