Community Health Systems slated to bring jobs to Tennessee: 3 things to know

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems plans to bring around 1,400 jobs to Antioch, Tenn., according to a Nashville Business Journal report, which cites multiple real estate and economic development sources.

Here are three things to know about the plans.

1. CHS, which has been searching for new office space to house back-office and support personnel, is expected to officially announce its plans May 14.

2. The CHS expansion would be part of a 300-acre development being pursued by Nashville developer Oldacre McDonald and Atlanta developer TPA Group, according to the report. The planned development project involves retail, office space condos and apartments.

3. Metro Planning Commission has recommended approval of a requested zoning change to allow the mixed-use development being pursued by the developers.
