Columbus Regional Healthcare System Axes 4% of Workforce

Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, N.C., has eliminated 28 jobs, or 4 percent of its workforce, according to a report by The News Reporter.

Ten of the 28 positions are currently vacant, according to the report.

Columbus Regional has seen decreased revenues, and the workforce reduction will help the system cut its expenses by $2 million, according to The News Reporter.
