Boston Children's Hospital, Press Ganey partner to collect patient experience data

Boston Children's Hospital and Press Ganey have signed a multi-year partnership agreement to capture and analyze patient and family experience data.

Together, Boston Children's will use the newly created Child Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems hospital survey to more fully understand the needs and preferences of child patients and their families.

The hospital will also use Press Ganey's census-based surveying technique to collect deeper data in a more timely manner, allowing the hospital to identify how parents and guardians view their child's care as well as opportunities to improve the experience of patients and families alike.

The Child HCAHPS initiative was funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and CMS and was field-tested by Boston Children's Hospital's Center of Excellence for Pediatric Quality Measurement.
