11 Recent Hospital Executive Moves

The following hospital executive moves occurred within the past week, beginning with the most recent.

1. Richard Palmisano, president and CEO of North Adams, Mass.-based Northern Berkshire Healthcare, stepped down as president and CEO of the system's North Adams Regional Hospital to become the organization's chief restructuring officer.

2. Daniel Atkinson was promoted from CFO to CEO of Muskingum Valley Health Centers in Zanesville, Ohio.

3. Don Steigman was named COO of Miami-based Jackson Health System, effective June 20.

4. Dave Tower is resigning as CEO of Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, N.H., effective Aug. 31.

5. Ed Noseworthy, CEO of 112-bed Bert Fish Medical Center in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., is leaving to become CEO of 139-bed Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, effective July 1.

6. Winfield S. Brown was named president and CEO of Heywood Hospital in Gardner, Mass.

7. Paveljit Bindra, MD, was named CMO and chief medical information officer of Covina, Calif.-based Citrus Valley Health Partners.

8. Juan Fresquez was named COO of Houston Northwest Medical Center.

9. Howard T. Wall III was named executive vice president and chief administration officer of Brentwood, Tenn.-based RegionalCare Hospital Partners, effective June 20.

10. Richard S. Freeman was named CEO of the proposed Hackensack University Medical Center at Pascack Valley in Westwood, N.J., by Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center.

11. Andrew Agwunobi, MD, CEO of Providence Health Care Eastern Washington Region, is moving to a new position with Renton, Wa.-based Providence Health & Services as vice president of special projects of the health system.
