Spectrum Health Reed City in Michigan Plans $8.9M Cancer Center

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health announced its Spectrum Health Reed City (Mich.) Hospital is planning an $8.9 million cancer center.

The Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center, which will be located at the current Spectrum Health Crossroads Radiation Therapy Center, will bring comprehensive cancer services under one roof.

The project involves expanding Crossroads Radiation Therapy Center from 9,000 square feet to 18,000 square feet and replacing existing technology with new equipment. The facility will include a dedicated infusion and chemotherapy department, a cancer resource center and library, radiation and hematology oncology physician practices, a linear accelerator and a new CT simulator.

The hospital plans to break ground on the facility this fall.
