Duarte, Calif.-based City of Hope and Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Joint Services have signed a letter of intent to expand oncology care at Providence Health sites in Southern California. City of Hope is a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center. Providence is one of the largest mission-driven healthcare organizations in and around Los Angeles, according to a news release.
In the partnership, City of Hope expects to provide quality protocols and expertise to improve cancer care at Providence sites. The partners hope to improve accessibility to oncology services by providing them at as many Providence sites as possible.
The partnership is also an effort to improve the balance of accessible and affordable oncology services in the Los Angeles area, according to the news release.
