VNA Homecare CEO appointed to HHS advisory committee

Kate Rolf has been chosen to serve a four-year term on the National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services.

The committee consists of a 21-member citizens' panel of nationally recognized rural health experts that provides recommendations on rural issues to the HHS secretary. In her role, Ms. Rolf will help examine key rural issues and submit recommendations for possible solutions.

Ms. Rolf currently serves as president and CEO of VNA Homecare, a full-service home healthcare agency based in Syracuse, N.Y. She is also an active member of the Long Term Care Executive Council and Selective Services and serves on the board of directors for the Visiting Nurse Associations of America and LeadingAge New York, where she also serves as chairwoman of the Home and Community Based Service Cabinet.

She recently received the Home Care Association of New York State's 2015 Advocacy Award and the Excellence in Health Care Award for Innovations in Health Care.
