Two Sanford Health Executives to Retire

Two executives from Sanford Health, based in Fargo, N.D., and Sioux Falls, S.D., have announced plans to retire, and their replacements have been named, according to a Sioux Falls Business Journal report.

Becky Nelson, senior vice president and COO, announced she will retire in the first quarter of 2014. She has been with Sanford since 1975. Ms. Nelson will be replaced by Nate White, COO of the health services division for Sanford's Sioux Falls region, according to the report.

Pat O'Brien, MD, president of Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, is also retiring. He will leave his post in July to join Sanford Health Enterprise Cardiovascular Services, according to the report. Paul Hanson, president of Sanford Medical Center Bemidji (Minn.), will succeed Dr. O'Brien.
