Appleton, Wis.-based ThedaCare appointed Imran Andrabi, MD, president and CEO, effective June 19.
Dr. Andrabi works at Cincinnati-based Mercy Health, where he currently serves as regional president and CEO of the Toledo region. He has been with Mercy for 25 years, initially serving as an intern and medical resident. During his tenure leading Mercy Health's Toledo region, he was instrumental in developing two freestanding emergency departments as well as a comprehensive cancer center.
Dr. Andrabi succeeds Dean Gruner, MD, who announced his plans to retire in October 2016 after leading the system for nine years.
