Temple University Hospital Names John Kastanis Permanent CEO

Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia has named John Kastanis as president and CEO, effective immediately.

Mr. Kastanis has served as interim CEO of the hospital since Dec. 19. Mr. Kastanis most recently held transitional contractor and interim CEO positions at Quincy (Mass.) Medical Center; Caritas Health Care in Boston — now Steward Health Care System — and Southampton (N.Y.) Hospital. He was also president and CEO of the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute in New York City from 1996 to 2005.
