Wood River Health Services in Hope Valley, R.I., named Gina Fernandes director of finance, according to The Westerly Sun.
Here are three things to know about Ms. Fernandes.
1. She will take over for Wood River Health's former director of finance and information technologies, Eileen Gelzhiser. Ms. Gelzhiser is transitioning to the director of technology and information systems position, according to the report.
2. Ms. Fernandes previously worked in various roles at New London, Conn.-based Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, including financial analyst, accounting manager and assistant controller to strategic financial manager.
3. She also previously served as accounts payable manager at Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprise of Ledyard (Conn.), the report states. Additionally, she previously was a financial adviser and overseas analyst for Dallas-based Caltex Petroleum.
