Parkland Memorial Hospital Restructures Executive Administration

Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas has appointed four new top administrative executives, according to a report by The Dallas Morning News.

Ron Laxton was named COO, a position he has served in an interim capacity since 2012.

Sharon Philips was named chief of population health, a newly created position. Ms. Philips was previously sharing Mr. Laxton's interim COO duties.

Kris Gaw was named chief administrative officer. She previously served as a hospital administrator at Renown Health in Reno, Nev.

Jim Dunn, previously working at the Cleveland Clinic, was named chief talent officer.

These positions were appointed over the past few months, but no word of them was released until recently when Fred Cerise, MD, officially came into his new role as CEO.
