North Carolina Hospital Association Elects New Trustees

North Carolina Hospital Association elected new board members at its annual summer meeting.

The new board members are: William B. James, CEO of Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mount Airy, N.C.; Will Mahone, president of Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; Mike Nagowski, president and CEO of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, N.C.; and Kerry Watson, president of Durham (N.C.) Regional Hospital.

Ronald A. Paulus, MD, president and CEO of Mission Health System in Asheville, N.C. was elected to the physician or hospital trustee position, and Steve Lawler, president of Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, N.C., was elected to the American Hospital Association's alternate position.

The new trustees will start their positions Jan. 1, 2013.

NCHA is a trade association for hospitals and healthcare systems across North Carolina.
