NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens names new president: 3 things to know

Jaclyn A. Mucaria has been named president of NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens in Flushing, N.Y., effective Aug. 1.

Here are three things to know about Ms. Mucaria.

1. She has served as COO of NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens since September 2015. Previously, she was the senior vice president of ambulatory services and patient-centered care services.

2. During her tenure at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens, she led NewYork-Presbyterian's We Put Patients First initiative, an effort to improve the patient experience at all NewYork-Presbyterian locations, officials said.

3. In her new role, she succeeds Stephen S. Mills, who will lead global services at NewYork-Presbyterian.
