New York Methodist Hospital CEO Mark Mundy to retire

New York City-based New York Methodist Hospital CEO Mark J. Mundy is retiring.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Mundy:

1. He is equipped with nearly 26 years of leadership experience.

2. Throughout his career at New York Methodist Hospital, the hospital opened New York Methodist-Cornell Heart Center and joined NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System.

3. Mr. Mundy played an integral role in the hospital's relationship with NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System, which helped transition New York Methodist Hospital into a teaching hospital.

4. Prior to his role as New York Methodist Hospital's CEO, Dr. Mundy was Quincy (Mass.) Hospital's CEO for nearly eight years.

5. He earned his master's degree in hospital administration from New York City-based Columbia University.
