Mountain Valley Regional CEO resigns: 4 things to know

Jeff VanHorn, CEO of Mountain Valley Regional Hospital in Casper, Wyo., has resigned, according to a Casper Star-Tribune report.

Here are four things to know about Mr. VanHorn and his resignation.

1. In a statement from the hospital, Mountain View wished Mr. VanHorn "the best as he starts a new career" but provided no reason for his departure, according to the report.

2. Alfredo Ontiveros, a retired Air Force Lt. Col., will be the interim CEO. 

3. Mr. VanHorn started at Mountain View five years ago as CFO and became CEO three years ago.

4. During his tenure at Mountain View, he oversaw "unprecedented growth in volume and profitability" at the facility, which opened in Casper in 2007, the hospital said in a statement, according to the report.
