Mercy Health-Cincinnati names new CMO: 3 things to know

Mercy Health-Cincinnati has named Justin McGoldrick, MD, CMO.

Here are three things to know about Dr. McGoldrick.

1. Dr. McGoldrick will begin his job Aug. 31. He replaces Dan Roth, MD, who left the organization for a leadership role in another state in late 2014, and Herb Schumm, MD, who's been serving in the role on an interim basis while also retaining his responsibilities as president of Mercy Health Physicians in Lima, Ohio.

2. As CMO, Dr. McGoldrick will act as the primary liaison between medical staffs and Cincinnati-based Mercy Health's executive team. He will be responsible for partnering with and supporting physicians and clinicians across Mercy Health-Cincinnati.

3. Dr. McGoldrick currently serves as associate medical informatics officer for Mercy Health, formerly Catholic Health Partners, where he has been focused on rolling out a single EHR to all Mercy Health facilities in Ohio and Kentucky. Previously, he served as system coordinator, chief of staff, emergency department regional director, facility medical director and numerous other leadership roles for Tennova Healthcare facilities in Knoxville, Tenn. (formerly Mercy Health Partners in Tennessee).
