Maurine Cate Declines CEO Role at Deaconess Hospital

Maurine Cate, who was offered the CEO position at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Wash., earlier this week, has decided not to take up the post, according to a report by The Spokesman-Review.

A Deaconess spokeswoman told The Spokesman-Review Ms. Cate cited personal reasons and a desire to continue her work in Oregon as reasons for declining the offer.
