Lexington Medical Center promotes Tod Augsburger to CEO role: 4 things to know

Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, S.C., has named Tod Augsburger president and CEO, effective Oct. 1.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Augsburger.

1. Mr. Augsburger will succeed current president and CEO Mike Biediger upon his retirement later this year.

2. Mr. Augsburger has been senior vice president and COO of Lexington Medical Center since November 1999.

3. Prior to his tenure at Lexington Medical Center, Mr. Augsburger worked at the Ohio Health System in Columbus as corporate vice president of integration, vice president of clinical ancillary services and vice president of operations.

4. "I'm honored to follow in the footsteps of Mike Biediger and continue the excellent work he has done to provide quality health services that meet the needs of our community," Mr. Augsburger said in a news release.
