Louisville, Ky.-based Kindred Healthcare has announced Benjamin A. Breier will become CEO and a member of Kindred's Board of Directors, on March 31, 2015.
Mr. Breier will succeed Paul J. Diaz, who will become executive vice chairman of the Kindred Board of Directors.
Mr. Breier joined Kindred in August 2005 as president of the rehabilitation division. He stepped into the role of president of Kindred's hospital division in March 2008, and was promoted to COO in August 2010. In 2012, Mr. Breier assumed the additional responsibilities of president of the health system.
