Highland-Clarksburg Hospital names Mike Casdorph CEO: 3 things to know

Mike Casdorph has been named president and CEO of Highland-Clarksburg Hospital in Clarksburg, W. Va., according to The Exponent-Telegram.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Casdorph.

1. Mr. Casdorph will replace James H. Dissen, who will retire Sept. 20. Mr. Dissen will remain the hospital's chairman of the board.

2. Mr. Casdorph currently serves as Highland-Clarksburg's COO. Previously, he was director of facility development and construction during the remodeling of the former UnitedHospitalCenter where Highland-Clarksburg is now located, then was promoted to administrator of Highland-Clarksburg. He has been managing operations as COO since the beginning of this year.

3. Regarding Mr. Casdorph's appointment, Mr. Dissen said, "There is no one that understands the operations of the facility and its personnel better than Mike, and it is time for me to now step aside and let Mike be recognized for all of the hard work and effort he has put into building and growing Highland-Clarksburg Hospital," according to the report.
