Hackensack University Health Network names Mark Sparta chief population health officer: 3 things to know

Hackensack (N.J.) University Health Network has named Mark Sparta chief population health officer, according to an NJBIZ report.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Sparta, according to the report.

1. As chief population health officer, Mr. Sparta will lead the development of the health system's population health program and accountable care services.

2. Mr. Sparta will serve as an executive vice president, in addition to his role as chief population health officer.

3. Mr. Sparta most recently was acting CEO of the HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley hospital in Westwood, N.J. Before serving as acting CEO, Mr. Sparta was vice president of clinical services and senior operations officer for the medical center.
