The Global Healthcare Accreditation Program tapped Karen Timmons to lead as CEO.

1. The Global Healthcare Accreditation is designed for healthcare organizations seeking to improve the healthcare quality and patient experience they provide to medical travel, medical tourism and international patients.
2. Ms. Timmons has previously served in executive leadership positions within The Joint Commission, Joint Commission International and Det Norske Veritas.
3. She has also served as chair of the World Health Organization's Collaborating Center for Patient Safety Solutions.
4. Currently, 50 organizations have achieved accreditation through the GHA program.
