Miguel Treviño Jr., CEO of Laredo, Texas-based Gateway Community Health Center, is retiring after 48 years of service, according to a Laredo Morning Times report.
Elmo Lopez Jr., CEO of McAllen (Texas) Medical Center, has been tapped to serve as the new CEO of Gateway.
Prior to McAllen Medical Center, Mr. Lopez was CEO of Doctors Hospital of Laredo.
McAllen Medical Center and Doctors Hospital of Laredo are owned and operated by a subsidiary of King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services.
