Florida's Jackson Health System Names CFO, CNO and VP of Human Resources

Florida-based Jackson Health System has named Mark Knight CFO, according to a Miami Herald report.

Mr. Knight, who has held the CFO position at three local hospital systems, will start work at Jackson Health on Nov. 1. The health system has had trouble finding a CFO because of ongoing investigations by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission into Jackson's financial reporting, according to the report.

Mr. Knight succeeds former CFO Frank Barrett, who stepped down in February after the system reported a $230 million loss.

Jackson also selected Leah Kinnaird as the system's chief nursing officer. Ms. Kinnaird worked for 20 years as a nurse and administrator at Baptist Health South Florida. She will succeed Jane Mass, who is retiring.

Former Jackson vice president of human resources Trummell Valdera will be replaced with Maria Huot-Barrietos, who has worked as a Jackson manager for 30 years and most recently served as interim vice president of human resources.
