Dr. Peter Nalin to Lead IU School of Medicine

The Indiana University School of Medicine of Bloomington, Ind., has announced Peter M. Nalin, MD, will be succeeding Maryellen Gusic, MD, as associate dean for educational affairs.

Dr. Nalin is currently an associate professor of clinical family medicine at the IU School of Medicine and has been on the faculty since 2001. He has served as associate dean for graduate medical education for eight years and was also the interim executive associate dean for educational affairs from 2009 to 2010.Peter Nalinsized

Dr. Nalin is active in the Association of American Medical Colleges serving as a national director of the association's Leadership Development Course. He also chairs the Institutional Review Committee of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Dr. Nalin will also retain his concurrent role as interim chair of the department of radiation oncology until a new chair is selected.
