Dr. Annie Sadosty to serve as regional VP for Mayo Clinic Health System's southeast Minnesota region: 4 points

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Health System appointed Annie Sadosty, MD, regional vice president for Mayo Clinic Health System in southeast Minnesota, according to an Albert Lea Tribune report.

Mayo Clinic Health System is a network of clinics and hospitals serving Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and Georgia.

Here are four points:

1. Dr. Sadosty most recently oversaw Mayo Clinic's emergency medicine staff and 21 emergency departments.

2. She replaces David Agerter, MD, who is taking on the newly created role of director of academic strategy and development for the Mayo Clinic Health System.

3. Mayo Clinic Health System in southeast Minnesota includes facilities in Albert Lea, Austin, Cannon Falls, Faribault, Lake City, Owatonna, Red Wing and other communities.

4. Recently, Mayo announced it will transition most of the inpatient services at its Albert Lea campus to its Austin Campus. She will lead the transition, with support from Dr. Agerter.
