Dearborn County Hospital names new CEO: 3 things to know

Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Ind., has picked Michael W. Schwebler as the organization's next president and CEO. 

Here are three things to know about Mr. Schwebler.

1. He will begin his new role in early June, following the retirement of Roger D. Howard. 

2. Most recently, Mr. Schwebler, a registered vascular technologist, served as executive director of heart and vascular services at The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati. 

3. In this position, Mr. Schwebler directed or oversaw strategic planning, implementation and execution of the heart and vascular service line's programs and departments including but not limited to:

  • Cardiac catheterization lab
  • Electrophysiology lab
  • Structural heart cardiovascular and thoracic surgery
  • Advanced vascular program
  • Cardiovascular imaging
  • Sleep center
  • Wound center
  • Cardiac rehabilitation
  • Heart failure
  • Left ventricular assist (mechanical heart) program
  • Integration of the Lindner Center for Cardiovascular Research and several nursing units and/or floors including the cardiovascular intensive care unit and heart failure unit
