Connecticut Children's Medical Center selects COO: 4 notes

Hartford-based Connecticut Children's Medical Center named Gil Peri president and COO, effective Sept. 25, The Hartford Business Journal reports.

Here are four notes about Mr. Peri.

1. He fills CCMC's vacant COO position and succeeds CCMC CEO Jim Shmerling as president.

2. Mr. Peri most recently served three years as senior vice president and chief strategy officer at Colorado Children's Hospital in Aurora, the report states.

3. Prior to that, he served as vice president for strategic development and operations at Columbus, Ohio-based Nationwide Children's Hospital.

4. Mr. Peri earned a master's degree in business administration and a master's degree in public health from Tampa-based University of South Florida, according to the report.
