Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health Medical Group hired Martin A. Portillo, MD, to serve as president and CMO.

1. Dr. Portillo formerly worked at Marriottsville, Md.-based Bon Secours Health System, where he was corporate clinical director for population health management.
2. He previously served as vice president of medical affairs and CMO at Molina Health in Columbus, Ohio.
3. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
4. He is board-certified in internal medicine and completed his residency at Stamford (Conn.) Hospital.
