CMO of Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Escorted From Hospital During Investigation
The CMO of Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in West Carson, Calif., has been placed on leave during an ongoing investigation, according to a Los Angeles Times report.Gail V. Anderson, Jr., was escorted from the hospital Tuesday, according to the report. William Stringer, chief of internal medicine, has been named interim CMO.
Officials would not release details of the investigation, and Mr. Anderson could not be reached for comment. Mitchell Katz, director of the Los Angeles County Dept. of Health Services, said only that the matter is a "personal issue," according to the report.
