Cleveland Clinic has named Lars Svensson, MD, PhD, as chairman of the Clinic's Heart & Vascular Institute, according to Crain's Cleveland Business.
Previously, Dr. Svensson served as director of Cleveland Clinic's Aorta Center, director of the Marfan Syndrome and Connective Tissue Disorder Clinic and director of quality and process improvement in the department of thoracic cardiovascular surgery.
Dr. Svensson succeeds Bruce Lytle, MD, who served as chairman since the institute opened in 2007.
