Memphis, Tenn.-based Christ Community Health Services appointed Shantelle Leatherwood CEO, according to a Memphis Business Journal report.

1. Ms. Leatherwood most recently served as chief administrative officer for the organization.
2. She also serves on the executive council of the Mid-South American Cancer Society and the City of Memphis IBM Smarter Cities Challenge Steering Committee.
3. She holds a master of health administration degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
4. She succeeds Ed Roberson, who has retired.
5. CCHS serves more than 50,000 patients through its eight health centers.
