CHC expands corporate staff: 15 things to know

Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Corp. has added eight individuals to its corporate staff, according to a news release.

Here are 15 things to know about the individuals.

Sherri Aleksejczyk is senior perioperative consultant for CHC.

1. In her role, Ms. Aleksejczyk works with perioperative Services at CHC's owned and managed hospitals and completes perioperative operational assessments for new facilities.

2. Previously, she worked for Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America as director of quality/risk for HCA's Ambulatory Surgery Division-Gulf Coast, which encompassed the Houston, San Antonio and McAllen, Texas area.

Jill Bayless is senior vice president of clinical services for CHC.

3. In her executive role, Ms. Bayless oversees the clinical excellence of CHC-affiliated hospitals and provides consulting services to CHC Consulting clients.

4. She has more than three decades of clinical expertise.

5. Previously, she served as CNO and COO for Longview (Texas) Regional Medical Center for several years, providing clinical and operational oversight for several clinical departments.

Jennifer Beason is receptionist and office assistant for CHC.

6. Ms. Beason's prior work experience includes the following roles: account logistics-customer liaison for Direct Export in Dallas, operations manager for Triple Creek Academy in McKinney, Texas, and administrative assistant at Denton (Texas) Regional Medical Center.

David Garcia is director of revenue cycle.

7. As director of revenue cycle, Mr. Garcia helps CHC hospitals increase financial performance by reviewing and optimizing processes while identifying new revenue opportunities.

8. In prior roles, he was senior revenue cycle consultant for Nearterm Revenue Cycle Group in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Central Business Office director for Lufkin-based Memorial Health Systems of East Texas, which has since been acquired by Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives.

Valerie Hayes is planning analyst for CHC.

9. Most recently, Ms. Hayes served as a research associate at Urbana-based University of Illinois working with the Consortium to Lower Obesity in Chicago Children.

10. She served as a nutrition education intern and research assistant for the Institute for Health Research and Policy while completing her master's degree.

Stephanie Hobson serves as director of physician recruitment at CHC and assists CHC hospitals with physician recruitment and retention programs.

11. In prior roles, Ms. Hobson was director of physician and clinical operations recruitment for Austin, Texas-based MedSpring Urgent Care, as well as system director of physician and advanced practice professional recruitment at Scott & White Health.

Robert Michel is corporate director of supply chain.

12. In his role, Mr. Michel develops and implements comprehensive supply chain management strategies to bring the greatest value from CHC Supply Trust.

13. In prior roles, he was regional director of materials management for MedAssets, as well as director of materials management at John Peter Smith Health Network in Ft. Worth, Texas, MountainView Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, N.M, and St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences in Missoula, Mont.

Whittney Walker is the funding program manager for CHC.

14. In her role, Ms. Walker helps CHC's hospitals navigate state and federal programs, secure funding and deliver improved telecommunications services through increased access.

15. Prior to CHC, she worked for Network Services Solutions, where she oversaw state and federal funding administration, funding and regulatory telecommunications compliance and financial analysis and modeling.
