CareMount Medical (formerly The Mount Kisco Medical Group), a multispecialty medical group practice serving Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Columbia and Ulster Counties in New York, has appointed Peter J. Kelly as director of value-based programs.
Here are four things to know about Mr. Kelly.
1. In his new position, Mr. Kelly will assist Kevin Conroy, CareMount's CFO and chief population health officer, with expanding the group's risk contracting and population health capabilities.
2. Most recently, Mr. Kelly was an executive director of market operations at Universal American, a White Plains, N.Y.-based Medicare Advantage and accountable care organization management company.
3. He previously was executive director of CareMount's Medicare shared savings program ACO partnership with Universal, as well as senior manager for Washington, D.C.-based consulting firm Avalere Health.
4. Mr. Kelly earned a bachelor's degree in history from Princeton (N.J.) University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
