The newly formed Baylor Scott & White Health, based in Dallas, has named 11 members of its senior leadership team, including CFO, chief strategy officer and chief quality officer, according to a system news release.
Dallas-based Baylor Health Care System and Temple, Texas-based Scott & White Healthcare completed their merger in October 2013, resulting in the largest nonprofit health system in Texas.
The recently named or appointed executives are listed below:
• LaVone Arthur was named chief integration officer. She will oversee the coordination of activities related to the integration of the two health systems, including project leadership and business development.
• David Ballard, MD, PhD, was named chief quality officer. He also leads Baylor Health Care System's STEEEP® Global Institute, which focuses on improving quality of care across the entire health care industry.
• Wm. Stephen Boyd was named chief legal officer.
• Matthew Chambers was named chief information officer.
• Mark Grace M.Div., ACPE, was appointed chief mission and ministry officer. He will oversee all pastoral care and chaplaincy programs at the system's facilities.
• Kristi Hoyl was named chief government affairs officer.
• Robert Michalski assumed the position of chief compliance officer.
• J. James Rohack, MD, was named chief health policy officer.
• Fred Savelsbergh was named CFO, overseeing financial affairs for the system, which has $8.6 billion in total assets.
• Steve Sullivan is taking on the role of chief strategy officer.
• Donald E. Wesson, MD, was named chief academic officer.
