Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System tapped Joanne Mayers, BSN, MSN, RN, to serve as CNO for its east region.

1. Ms. Mayers most recently served as director of patient services for St. Joseph's Hospital-North in Lutz, Fla., part of the BayCare system.
2. She worked at BayCare for 23 years and previously served as infectious disease charge nurse and progressive care and oncology manager for St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Fla.
3. BayCare Health's east region includes six hospitals: St. Joseph's Hospital, St. Joseph's Children's Hospital and St. Joseph's Women's Hospital, all in Tampa; St. Joseph's Hospital-North in Lutz, Fla.; St. Joseph's Hospital-South in Riverview, Fla.; and South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, Fla.
