St. Louis-based Ascension appointed Gerry Lewis senior vice president and CIO as well as CEO of Ascension Information Services.
Here are four notes:
1. Mr. Lewis previously served as vice president of IT strategy and business development and chief data officer for Ascension Information Services.
2. He has also been the regional CIO for the West Region of Ascension Information Services as well as vice president and CIO for Seton Healthcare Family in Austin, Texas.
3. He is a member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, Healthcare Information Management Systems Society and American College of Healthcare Executives.
4. In his new role, Mr. Lewis will oversee IT operations, strategy, project execution and service delivery.
