Al Hammonds named executive director of Millennium Collaborative Care

Buffalo, N.Y.-based Millennium Collaborative Care has named Al Hammonds as executive director, according to Buffalo Business First.

Millennium Collaborative Care, led by Buffalo, N.Y.-based Erie County Medical Center, is one of 25 systems part of New York's Delivery System Reform Incentive Payments program, which focuses on reducing costs and improving health for Medicaid patients.

In his newly-appointed role, Mr. Hammonds will lead the organization, which includes more than 1,800 providers. He brings previous experience in healthcare, community and politics to the position.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Hammonds served as COO of Community Health Center in Buffalo. He also has previous experience as Erie County deputy county executive and in executive leadership roles at the University of Buffalo.
