AHA Board Elects Chair-Elect Designate

Jim Skogsbergh, president and CEO of Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care, has been elected chair-elect designate of the American Hospital Association's Board of Trustees.

Mr. Skogsbergh will assume chairmanship in 2016, and will be the top elected official of the AHA.

"It is an exciting time to be a healthcare leader as we work to improve the care we provide patients and I look forward to working with the AHA and its members in support of the AHA mission to advance the health of individuals and communities," Mr. Skogsbergh said in a news release.

In addition to his role running Advocate Health Care, Mr. Skogsbergh is a member of the AHA Board of Trustees and Executive committee, chair of the Coalition to Protect America's Health Care and a member of the AHA SmartMarket board.
