9 recent hospital, health systems executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves occurred within the past week, beginning with the most recent.

1. Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Ala., named Chris Davis, MD, to the position of CIO/CMIO.

2. University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center named Mark B. Taubman, MD, senior vice president for health sciences and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2015.

3. Covington, La.-based St. Tammany Parish Hospital promoted Sandra DiPietro from controller to senior vice president and CFO.

4. Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine named Lisa Allen, PhD, as its first chief patient experience officer.

5. Nyack (N.Y.) Hospital CEO David Freed resigned, and Vice President of Support Services and CIO John Volanto replaced Mr. Freed as interim CEO while the hospital's board searches for a permanent CEO.

6. Madhu Nutakki, vice president of digital technology at Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente, resigned his position to become CTO for data, innovation and advanced technology at insurance giant AIG.

7. David Clark is the new president of Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

8. Joseph Sluka will assume his role as president and CEO of Bend, Ore.-based St. Charles Health System Dec. 1.

9. Wellmont Health System in Kingsport, Tenn., named Bart Hove interim president and CEO, effective Sept. 16.
